Souria Tisghiti-Mimoun (French, b.1995) is a painter living and working in France. Her works explore the perception of time and instability of our spatial, temporal experiences. They encompass a double exposure: ‘recreated memories’ from times never known (usually from media archives) and ‘real imaginary’ depicting reality through its mystery and poetry. She interweaves figurative realism with ephemeral compositions, forging her own version of painterly metaphors. 
Her creative process is fuelled by various inspirations: photographic techniques, poems, archival media but mainly from her little brother’s eyes.
